For the past couple of years, Blanche has been a vital contributor to ANDY, helping to uphold the company’s reputation for reliability, responsiveness, and exceptional service as a Customer Service Representative in the Intermodal/Drayage Department.


By coordinating daily operations, maintaining open communication with clients, and ensuring that every container moves efficiently from port to final destination, Blanche plays a crucial role in delivering seamless logistics experiences. Here’s a closer look at how Blanche’s expertise and dedication drive ANDY’s success in the intermodal and drayage sector.


1. How does your role as a Customer Service Representative in the Intermodal/Drayage department contribute to ANDY’s overall success?

I play a key role in ensuring that container movements are executed smoothly and efficiently. By coordinating daily operations, maintaining clear communication with clients, and proactively addressing any issues that arise, I help uphold ANDY’s reputation for reliability and responsiveness. My attention to detail and commitment to service excellence directly support our clients’ logistics needs, which in turn strengthens ANDY’s position as a trusted partner in the industry.


2. What strategies do you use to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ports in such a fast-paced environment?

I prioritize timely communication, keeping customers informed at every step of the process. I also make it a point to understand each customer’s unique needs and preferences, which helps build trust and long-term relationships. With ports, I maintain professional and respectful interactions, ensuring that we stay aligned on scheduling and operational requirements. Being proactive and solution-oriented helps me foster strong, dependable connections across the board. Being responsive and transparent are essential.


3. How would you describe the collaboration between the Intermodal/Drayage team and other departments at ANDY, such as dispatch, operations, or billing?

Collaboration at ANDY is seamless and highly supportive. The Intermodal/Drayage team works closely with dispatch to coordinate container movements and manage driver schedules.


As part of the Operations department, the Intermodal/Drayage team works hand in hand with other sub-teams like Logistics and Dry Van when a customer’s needs extend beyond drayage capacity, ensuring every shipment is handled smoothly and without delay.


We also maintain open communication with Billing to ensure that all charges are accurate and transparent.


This cross-departmental teamwork allows us to respond quickly to challenges and deliver consistent, high-quality service to our clients.

4. When unexpected issues arise, like port delays, chassis shortages, or schedule changes, how do you approach problem-solving and keep customers informed?

When unexpected issues occur, I immediately assess the situation and explore alternative solutions, whether it’s rescheduling deliveries, securing equipment, or adjusting routes. I communicate promptly with customers, providing clear updates and outlining the steps we’re taking to resolve the issue. My goal is to minimize disruption and maintain trust by being transparent, proactive and focusing on the solution.


5. ANDY is proudly a woman-owned and led company. How does that leadership style inspire or influence the way you approach customer service and teamwork?

Being part of a company with a woman at the helm is very empowering. The leadership style here emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and resilience, qualities that I strive to reflect in my own work. It inspires me to lead with integrity, support my colleagues, and approach customer service with a genuine commitment to excellence. The inclusive and supportive culture at ANDY motivates me to continuously grow and contribute meaningfully to our shared success.
