Maintain about five seconds of distance between your vehicle and a heavy-duty truck when traveling at speeds over 60 km/h. This ensures ample reaction time for both you and the truck driver.
When passing a heavy-duty truck, provide sufficient space before merging back. A good rule is one car length for every 16 km/h of speed.
