Montreal, March 31, 2022 – Andy is incredibly pleased to announce that it has reached the prestigious Platinum status on its Northbridge Insurance Transportation Best Practices Profile.
Achieving Platinum status means that Andy Transport now ranks among the top 10% percent of Canadian trucking fleets in creating, implementing and delivering industry best practices of safety management.
Northbridge Insurance developed the Transportation Best Practices Profile using the knowledge and insights that come from more than 60 years serving the trucking industry. It is the only report that shows how a company ranks in comparison to 100% Canadian trucking data, benchmarking Andy against hundreds of other fleets.
In announcing the news, Carmen Banica, Director of Risk Management of Andy Transport, declared: “I am extremely pleased that all our efforts to safety and continuous improvement have now been recognized by our business partner, Northbridge Insurance. We have spent years in the making, constantly improving our internal processes and our overall scores. By strengthening our company’s best practices in safety management, we are positioning ourselves on the market with a clear and disciplined plan for growth and value creation.”, added Mrs. Banica.
“As an asset-based carrier that has grown exponentially over the last 10 years, we have had to quickly evolve and constantly review and change our ways. When you have a fleet of 10 trucks, as a company, you can’t afford to have a dedicated safety manager. As the fleet grows and diversifies its services (dry van, flatbed, etc.), so does the risk factor, which is why, early on, we decided that we’d rather invest in training and prevention as opposed to paying claims and accidents.”, declared Andreea Crisan, President and CEO of Andy Transport.
“Today, I am proud to say that we have a solid team of professionals that provide training and assistance to our drivers and operational staff 24/7 from every major terminal. We have also been able to scale and continuously improve our safety records, while welcoming approximately 30 new drivers per year to the industry with our internal driving school.
This recognition is dedicated to our safety team, maintenance team, operations team and, most importantly, our drivers. “, added Andreea Crisan.
